Gig News
Lots of exciting opportunities coming up to catch Sanguine Hum live – firstly, a reminder that this weekend sees us at the Unicorn in Kentish Town as part of Roast Fest alongside other great bands such as Knifeworld,Thumpermonkey and Redbus Noface. We’ll be on stage at 8:50. Then the weekend after that we are very pleased to have been invited to support Barclay James Harvest at the Leamington Assembly on Sunday 20thNovember. There’s one more chance to catch us in 2011 (also with Knifeworld and Thumpermonkey) at the Square in Harlow on Saturday 17th December. Next year Sanguine Hum will be performing a very exciting gig which you may have already seen announced elsewhere – we’ll be making a special post about that soon!
Hope to see as many of you as possible at one or all of these gigs!!
Winter’s End Festival
A belated thanks to those of you who attended our hour long set at the Winter’s End festival back in March. We opened up proceedings on Day 2 of the festival in Stroud and it was great to see so many of you so early in the day who were treated to a selection of the old Nuns material plus a few new tracks including Diving Bell, a song from the forthcoming Sanguine Hum album. Lots of you were also snapping away on your cameras throughout the day (thanks to Neil Palfreyman for the above shot) and we’ll be adding a selection of photos to the media section over the next few days. The response to the band has been encouraging, with the Dutch Progressive Rock Page saying “their music was both engaging and interesting in approach and had the audience paying full attention”. The full review will be added to the reviews page.
